We are pleased to announce that a full-text search of the Image Database of Regional Pages is now available. You can search articles by words included in headlines, text, and article classifications.
To perform full-text searches of a large amount of newspaper pages instantly, AI and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) automatically convert articles into text data.
- "Image Database of Regional Pages β version" are optional contents for users of Asahi Shimbun Cross-Search.
Covered Period of the β version
Regional pages from March 1991 to December 1996, covering 47 prefectures. * The Okinawa edition was published until March 1992.
Keyword searches are available for 3.9 million articles and advertisements from approximately 310,000 pages of regional pages.
We plan to make full-text searches available for regional pages before February 1991 in the future.
- Some editions are not available, mainly during World War II and immediately after the war.
- Newspaper pages are not available for next days when the newspaper was not published.
